Image Artwork Configuration

Add New Image Layer

In the Artwork Editor, click on the Image icon to start uploading an image. The system offers 3 options for selecting images:
Upload: Choose an image from your computer and double-click to upload it to the artwork.
Library: Select from previously uploaded images (with options to filter by MIME type, upload time, and image name).
Import From URLs: Enter the URL of the image and click Import to upload.

Once an image is successfully added, you can edit it to ensure the image layer fits well within the artwork.

Image Formats

The system supports some basic editing formats:

Position: Adjusts the image's placement above or below another layer and aligns it to default positions on the screen.

Align: Adjusts the image's placement to the top, middle, bottom, left, center, or right of the screen.

Transform: Modifies the position, width, height, rotation, and skew of the image.

Toggle off the Lock Ratio to allow resizing image independently in both width and height.

Shadow: Enables selection of the shadow color, setting of the opacity, and adjustment of the drop shadow position of the image.

Fit to artwork: Clicks on the Expand icon or press Shift + F to resize the selected layer to fit the size of the artwork.

Fit to artwork cannot be used when the layer is inside a group.

Layer Settings

To replace a layer with another image while maintaining settings such as size and position, click on the image to upload the replacement.

Enable Show Original Image to increase the resolution of the image. This feature can only be activated for individual layers, not entire groups at once.

It's not recommended to activate too many layers as original images, as this may slow down loading speed.

Decreasing the resolution within the artwork does not affect the quality of the print file or the product previews on the storefront.
Read this article to understand why the resolution of images in artwork needs to be reduced: Why are the images in artwork blurry and low resolution?

To make the current layer customizable, check the box next to the Allow Personalized function. Depending on the layer's personalization settings, customers can upload their own image or select one from the clipart category to customize the product uniquely.

Label

The name of the option that will be displayed on your storefront.
e.g., Upload Photo, Woman Skin Color, etc.

Help text

Content that appears when additional explanations are required for the text.

Placeholder

Temporary text displays in the input field until an action is taken.
e.g., Please select an option, etc.

Using value of

Clipart category

This option enables customers to choose an image from the available selections in the clipart category. You need to specify which clipart category to use in the Choose Category section.

Select the image you wish to display on the storefront. It will be highlighted with an orange checkbox.
To configure an option as the default selection, follow these steps:
Activate Enable default value feature → Select default category (optional) → Use the radio button to specify the default value for each category.

Without the default value feature, the first image of each category will be displayed on the storefront when you choose the category.

Upload images

This option allows buyers to upload their own photos. To set up a product using this feature, follow the guidelines below:

Upload the photo you want to display on the storefront
Specify the minimum size required for the image in the Min width section.
Select the features you desire. Customall offers a variety of features suitable for personalizing your product.

Face cutout and Remove background features cannot be enabled together.

Grayscale

Activate this feature to automatically convert customer-uploaded photos into black and white.

Image Mask

Enable this feature to automatically crop customer-uploaded photos into a custom shape you have set in your artwork. Once the photo is uploaded, it will display within the image's black mask.

The image mask must be a PNG file, and it is recommended to use solid black for the shape.

On the storefront, the customers can upload their own photos and the system will display a crop screen that allows them to crop the image to the standard size.

Depend on another layer

Enable the current layer to be dependent on other layers, ensuring identical attributes, allowing customers to customize once and apply it across various layers.
e.g., layer B depends on Layer A, select image on Layer A will result in the same image appearing on Layer B.

Apply To All Template

Allows layer settings from one template to be applied to others that share the same layer ID within the artwork.
