How to Set Up AI Generate Image Feature

Customall provides an AI Generate Image feature that allows you to create fully personalized images directly from a text prompt. Instead of uploading a photo, you simply set up a prompt with variables like name, school, or year. When customers enter their own details on the storefront, the system automatically generates a unique image just for them.

This article will guide you through the process of adding, editing, and configuring an AI generate image layer.

  1. Go to the Artwork Editor → Click the + icon → Select AI Generate Image.

  1. Select AI Prompt

You can read this article to learn how to create a prompt with variables without an image input.

  1. Configure the values for the layer settings, including:

  • Variable fields: Each {{variable}} in the prompt becomes a field customers fill in. Fields sync automatically with the prompt - new variables are added and removed ones are dropped.

Variable fields include the following properties:

  • Label
  • Placeholder
  • Help text
  • Type: including:
    • Text
    • Number: only allows numeric input
    • Select: lets you create options for customers to choose from on the storefront

  • Date: allows customers to select a date

Note: To change the display order of the variable fields on the storefront, you can drag and drop to rearrange the fields in the artwork editor.

  • Test and preview: Enter sample values for the variables and click Test to see a preview.

  • Button Text: includes:
    • Generate button text (e.g., "Generate Image")
    • Update button text (e.g., "Update Image")
    • Generate required error message (e.g., "Please generate your image before continuing")
    • Update required error message (e.g., "Please update your image before continuing")

  • Output quantity: Resolution of the generated print file. 1 (1024px) is the fastest option and is great for apparel and previews. 2K (~2048px) and 4K (~4096px) produce sharper prints for canvas, posters, and large wall art. 2K and 4K resolutions require a configured API key. Please contact your team's admin if these options are unavailable.
  • Image fit: allows images on the storefront to maintain their original aspect ratio. This ensures that images remain undistorted after Remove Background or Face Cutout is applied.
  • Filter: includes face cutout, remove background, grayscale, mask
