How to Set Up the Warped Text Feature
Customall’s Warped Text feature allows you to bend, stretch, and reshape a single line of text to fit your design. You can create arches, curves, waves, heart shapes, and many other custom text shapes.

This article will guide you through the process of adding, editing, and configuring a warped text layer.
How to Add Warped Text
Go to the Artwork Editor → Click the + icon → Select Warped Text.

Once added, the warped text element will appear on the design editor screen with default text and a default warp shape. You can then edit its content, appearance, and shape.
How to Edit the Warp Shape
- To edit the warp shape, click on the warped text layer and select Edit Warp Shape in the menu bar. Alternatively, double-click the warped text element on the design editor screen.

- Select one of the predefined warp shapes to instantly apply it to the text.

- To create a custom shape, drag the control points around the text.

The warp editor includes 10 draggable control points. You can move these points to create gentle curves, strong arches, waves, heart shapes, or other custom shapes.

Symmetry and Adjustment Tools
Use the following tools to adjust the warp shape:
- Free: Allows you to drag and adjust each control point individually.
- Horizontal Arrow: Stretches or compresses the text horizontally.

- Vertical Arrow: Stretches or compresses the text vertically.

Next to the Symmetry controls, you will find the following options:

- Reset: Returns the text to its original, unwarped shape.
- Cancel: Exits the warp editor without saving your changes.
- Done: Saves the adjusted warp shape and exits the editor.
Notes
- Warped text works differently from a standard text box. The text automatically scales and adjusts to fit the warp shape you create, so you cannot manually change the font size, text alignment, or letter spacing.
- These properties are determined by the warp shape and the size of the warped text element.
- To make the text appear larger or smaller, resize the entire warped text element directly on the design editor screen.

How to Configure the Layer Settings

- Depend on another layer:
Enable this option to make the current warped text layer dependent on another warped text layer, ensuring that both layers use the same text content.
e.g., layer B depends on Layer A, entering text characters on Layer A will result in the same characters appearing on Layer B.
- Default Setting
- Default text: The default text displayed for preview purposes.
- Allowed text case: Choose how the text will appear: Normal, lowercase (
hello world), UPPERCASE (HELLO WORLD), or Capitalize Each Word (Hello World). - Max characters: Set the maximum number of characters that customers can enter.
- Enable prefix & suffix (you can add either or both): Add fixed words or characters before or after your personalized text. Customers cannot remove these characters.
- Personalization
- Allow buyers to personalize: Check this box to allow customers to customize the warped text. Uncheck it if you do not want to offer text customization.
- Label: Enter the title of the warped text field displayed on the storefront.
- Help text: Add additional instructions or explanations for customers.
- Placeholder: Enter temporary text that appears in the input field before the customer starts typing.

- Required: Check this option if customers must complete the field before placing an order.
- Apply to all templates
Enable this option to apply the warped text layer settings and features from the current template to other templates that use the same layer ID within the artwork.
How to Copy a Warp Shape from One Layer to Another
- Select the warped text layer whose shape you want to copy → Click Copy Shape.

- Select the warped text layer where you want to apply the shape → Click Paste Shape.

For a warped text layer that depends on another layer, enable Sync warp shape from root layer. The dependent layer’s warp shape will then update automatically whenever the root layer’s shape changes.
