How To Set Up Crossword Puzzle Feature

Customall introduces a personalized Crossword Puzzle feature, customizing words to meet your needs.

The article below will guide you through the setup process of the Crossword Puzzle feature.


  1. Go to Artwork editor → Click on the + icon → Select Puzzle.


  1. The Layer Settings section includes:


  • Depend on another layer: Enable this layer to depend on another puzzle layer, ensuring identical attributes.
  • Text color: Change the text color by selecting available options or entering a specific color code.

  • Cell background image: Change the background color/ pattern by uploading an image.

The background image should be square-shaped, with a recommended size of 500x500px to ensure optimal loading speed on your storefront.


  • Show score: Display the score of each word. Uncheck to hide the score.
  • Max words: Specify the maximum number of words allowed in the box; the minimum is 2 words.
  • Cell spacing: Adjust the width of text spacing by entering a number.

  • Font Family: Choose a font from the list, or click Upload Font to add a new one.



  • Font Size: Enter a number to change the size of the text inside the crossword puzzle block.



If you do not choose a font family or enter a font size, Customall will use the default font and size for your layer.


  • Words: Enter words here.

Only alphabetic characters (A-Z, a-z) are allowed and do not use special characters or numbers.Identical words are not permitted. (e.g., "Sophia" - "Sophia")Separate words by pressing space or "enter."


  • Required: Check if this field must be filled for placing an order.
  • Label: Display the name of the puzzle field on the storefront.
  • Placeholder: Temporary text displays in the input field until an action is taken.
  • Help text: Additional explanations displayed when needed.

  1. On the Storefront


Input words into the 'Words' box to generate crossword puzzle. Use the spacebar or 'enter' key to separate words.
