# How To Use Remove Background Feature

Customall integrates with Remove.bg to automatically remove the background from photos uploaded by customers.

|| The service is charged based on the number of images used. Each photo uploaded by a customer counts as one credit. Therefore, select a plan that aligns with your store's usage needs.

# Connect API Key

* Go to Settings → Services.

* Click on the **Config API Key** button for the Remove.bg service.

* Enter your API Key (you can find instructions on how to obtain your API Key by clicking on the link titled **How to get Remove Background API Key**).

|| The Services section is only visible to team leader account. After the team leader account configures the API key, all team members can use Remove background feature.

# Enable Remove background in Artwork

* Go to Artwork Editor → Add an Image Layer → Enable the **Allow personalized** feature.

* In the **Layer Settings**, fill in details such as label, help text, and placeholder.
* Under **Using value of**, select **Upload Images** and set the minimum required width for the image in the **Min Width** field.
* Enable the **Remove Background** feature.

|| Once the Remove Background feature is enabled and applied, deselecting it will not revert to the original background. To display a background again, you must upload a new image.

* On the storefront, customers can upload their own photos and adjust the positioning by dragging and dropping, rotating, resizing, and setting the display exactly as they desire.

|| Photo must be in JPG/PNG/JPEG format, and size up to 12MB (limit from 3rd-party services).

|| If your account in Remove.bg runs out of credits, the system will display an error notification when customers upload their photos.

||| There's no notifications from the background remover service when your account runs out of credits, so it's important to monitor your credit balance regularly.
