# How to Set Up Moon Phase Feature

Customall introduces the Moon Phase feature, enabling your customers to select different stages of life and love, creating meaningful and timeless keepsakes.

The article below will guide you through the setup process for the moon phase feature:

1. Go to Artwork editor → Click on the **+** icon → Select **Moon Phase**

2. The Layer Settings section includes:

###### - Depend on another layer:

Enable this layer to be dependent on other moon phase layer, ensuring identical attributes.

###### - Default Setting

* **Select date**: Select your desired date.
* **Moon style**: Select the style you want to display on the storefront.

You can add a new moon style by clicking the **Upload** button.

A pop-up will appear where you can enter the style name, select the number of moon phases, upload a thumbnail for the style, and upload moon images corresponding to each phase.

Click on the text **guide** to view detailed instructions for uploading images to each moon phase.

|| Recommended file size: 1500x1500 pixel, max 10MB

To replace an existing image, click on the moon image and upload a new one.

After the upload is complete, click **Save Changes** to save your moon style.

To edit or delete an existing moon style, **double-click** on the style you want to modify. A pop-up will appear, allowing you to make changes or delete it.

|| After saving your moon style, the number of moon phases cannot be changed.
|| The default moon style options provided by Customall are fixed and cannot be modified.

###### - Personalization

* **Allow buyers to personalize**: Check this box to let customers customize the moon phase.

**DATE**
* **Label**: Display the title of date picker field on the storefront.
* **Place holder**: Temporary text displays in the input field until an action is taken.
* **Help text**: Additional explanations displayed when needed.

**MOON STYLE**
* **Allow buyers to change styles**:**** Check this box to let customers select their preferred moon phase style from a list of options you provide.
* **'Select moon style' label**: Displays the title for the moon style selection field on the storefront (e.g., Choose Moon Color)
* **Moon style**: Choose the moon styles for customers to select.

It will appear on the storefront like this

###### - Apply to all templates

Enable moon phase layer settings and features from one template to be applied to other templates with the same layer ID within the artwork.

3. To add a date that automatically updates when selecting a date for the moon phase, **right-click** on the moon phase layer → select **Add Date Layer**.

In the Layer Settings of the date layer, you can choose the date format you want to display on your storefront.

| The Date Layer ID must match the first part of the Moon Phase Layer ID to ensure it updates automatically when the date changes.

On the storefront, the date will change automatically when customers select their desired Moon Phase date.
